When the Alvis Company decided to cease car manufacturing they wanted to ensure Alvis owners continued to receive high quality servicing and a supply of replacement parts in the tradition they had established. Red Triangle was conceived and is to this day the direct descendant of the Alvis factory and all it stood for.

The new company, staffed mainly by ex-factory employees, came into existence in June 1968. This was officially announced by Alvis to owners of Alvis cars with a letter from J.J. Parks, written on 19th June 1968. By creating Red Triangle and passing all of their spares stock to the new company, Alvis had laid the foundation stone for the thriving interest in Alvis cars that exists today.

Today, the complete documented history of the Alvis Company and its products is located at the company's premises in Kenilworth in a special, purpose built archive room.

Red Triangle hold regular seminars and technical forums throughout the year where customers can learn more about the cars.
