Automotive Technician: Kenilworth
Are you an automotive technician with a love and talent for classic and vintage vehicle mechanics?
At Red Triangle, the modern-day home of Alvis, we work on some of Britain’s most distinctive cars – and we’re looking for an experienced technician to join our Kenilworth workshop. This is a full- or part-time opportunity for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, values quality and enjoys working on vehicles where traditional engineering still matters.
Do you have?
• A good understanding of traditional petrol engines, particularly carburettor fuel systems and distributor-type ignition systems?
• Strong problem-solving abilities on traditional vehicles?
• An excellent knowledge of engine building?
• Experience of traditional powertrain, electrical, braking and suspension systems?
Our work is unlike most in the trade. As the home of the Alvis Car Company, we restore, repair and service Alvis motor cars built between 1920 and 1967, returning them to a standard that has earned Red Triangle its enduring reputation for craftsmanship.
Our workshops in Kenilworth are fully-equipped, including both engine and chassis dynamometers and our small team of skilled technicians takes genuine pride in the quality of every car that passes through.
Beyond the technical requirements, this role is made for someone who enjoys solving problems through traditional engineering practice, works well alongside other skilled people and takes satisfaction in seeing a job done properly.
What we offer
• Working hours of 8.30 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime available
• Part-time arrangements may also be an option
• Up to 28 days annual holiday
• Pension scheme
• An attractive salary package reflecting the right mix of skills, experience and passion for the work
If this sounds like the kind of work opportunity you wish to be part of, we would love to hear from you.
