1932 SPEED 20 SA 4 SEATER TOURER BY VANDEN PLAS

Leaving Holyhead Road on 7th November 1932 as a bare chassis the car went to Folletts of London and was fitted with this classic touring body by revered coachbuilders Vanden Plas.  Only  four previous owners and  with the present owner for 36 years. The 2511cc engine with triple SU`s produces 87bhp touching 90mph, a veritable flyer in the early 1930`s. The SA SPEED 20  VP Tourer is considered by many enthusiasts to be the most desirable of the SPEED 20`s with simple elegant styling and  plenty of power. This particular example is 'on the button' and a delight to drive with accompanying throaty roar from the exhaust, perhaps the ultimate experience of period motoring. This car is featured in Smith`s Book `Vanden Plas  Coachbuilders'.
