1934 Alvis Speed 20 Special by Henry Stoner

This Speed Twenty SB started life as a two door FHC by Vanden Plas and was supplied new to Captain C. B. Wilson of Neatishead Norfolk on 17th February 1934. In 1947, the next owner, Squadron Leader Bainbridge-Hawker shipped the car to Singapore where he was stationed. One day while driving over Kallang aerodrome he collided with a marker drum causing the car to burst into flames. The car, over the next 8 years, was repaired and re-bodied with a four seater body to accommodate the Ingham’s and their four son’s daily transport needs until 1967. The car competed in many events through the 1970’s (Singapore & Malaysian Grand Prix) with Henry Stoner who fitted the current body in 1973. The car comes complete with all the trophies.
