It also looks at notable owners and drivers and is illustrated with original period photographs. This is the first complete listing of every Alvis car ever made and covers all Alvis models 1920-1967. It details of notable people who bought and drove Alvis models and incorporates original works material and many previously unseen photographs. A truly unique publication.

The Story of The Red Triangle by Kenneth DayThis 4th Edition of Kenneth Day’s widely acclaimed book is now more than ever the definitive history of the Alvis marque.

Alvis Album by Rod Ward – Thomas John, founder of Alvis, was one of those visionary British engineers who created and maintained the mystique of the British classic car. Here we tell the story of a great marque that never became a badge-engineered clone from a faceless conglomerate. Every Alvis is a true classic.

Alvis 1946 – 1967 by John Fox – This book focuses on post-war models. The successor to Alvis’s iconic Fourteen, the Three Litre, had a production run of seventeen years and the newest is now more than fifty years old.

Alvis : The Complete Story by Mathew ValeThis book tells the story of Alvis and its cars, aero engines and military vehicles. From the formation of the company in 1919, it traces the company’s products through the 1920s and 1930s, its wartime exploits and post war cars, aero engines and military vehicles.

Alvis Coachbuilders Plates

As Alvis never produced bodywork, the individual coach builder often put his own name on the completed work, with a chrome plate usually on the bottom inner door sill so it was clearly visible when either door was opened.

We have two plates for you to choose from – Vanden Plas and Cross & Ellis – both made from solid brass, engraved in the original format and chrome plated. Note that these plates are made to order and have a lead time of 2 weeks.
